Is Texas Chainsaw Massacre ok for 12 year olds?
Parents need to know that this movie is not recommended for anyone under 17. Yes, kids love to be scared, but the violence here is so disturbingly realistic that it's too much for most older kids (and some adults) to handle.
One of the scariest movies of all time, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, was originally planned to be a movie for all, according to the director. Tobe Hooper produced and directed the 1974 horror classic, which was banned in several countries and even had some theatres stop the movie due to complaints about violence.
Not as obsessive as the BBFC, in the US the film was first given an X and then an R for a trimmed-down version. The film's brutal treatment by the British censors mirrored the rough shoots to get the film made.
Because of the explicit violence the movie did not get an approval for American theatres, at first. So almost 4 minutes were cut out of the movie in order to get an R-Rating. Still, the movie bombed miserably at the box office.
Yet despite featuring literal cannibals hungry for innocent teen flesh, the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre was surprisingly devoid of any truly graphic gore.
One thing that should be noted is that the Saw series gets more graphic, sadistic, and disturbing as it goes on. Saw, Saw 2, and, Jigsaw, are probably okay for teens 16 and older. The other ones are NOT okay for anyone who is not an adult. Another thing is that this movie is definitely not okay for ALL 15 year-olds.
In the introduction of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a file is shown on screen which states Leatherface's age as being 16-20 back in 1973. Leatherface may be a supernatural human, as he survived being impaled through the stomach, bashed in the head multiple times with a heavy rock and was shot several times with a shotgun.

There is a kissing scene like 2 times in the show there is some smoking a bit of swearing, and a lot of violence ( keep in mind the show is about a supernatural killer )
Parents need to know that Jujutsu Kaisen is a violent, dark fantasy anime based in a world of demons and curses. There is blood and fantasy violence. Demons/creatures throughout the show could be scary and uncomfortable at times.
